Surebond Surfaces have carried out numerous applications of Resin Bound Stone inlays to tree pits all over the UK and Spain being our furthest application to date. The Tree Pit is usually excavated 120mm and the base compacted. Then 60mm of loose stone is laid and compacted. After this is complete, 40-60mm of resin bonded stone is trowel applied leaving an aestetically pleasing, free draining Tree Pit finish without the normal associated problem of the trip hazard of the cast iron grid or the loose stone and rubbish collection around the tree. Surebond Tree Pits is also great for ornamental tree pits & planters and decorative rooftop gardens where a secure stone or glass surface needs binding to reduce maintenance.
